Prefer MBF-10

The microphone booster MBF-10 is made for professional microphones or Phantom powered microphones to connect directly to a line input.

  • The microphone input and the Line-output are both electronically balanced.
  • The MBF-10 makes it possible to use a 48Volt phantom powered microphone, which you can switch on with a separate switch.
  • With another switch, you can also switch on a 80 Hz filter, to cut off non desirable frequency sounds.
  • The gain is continuously adjustable between 20 and 50 dB.
  • A very low noise level of -125 dB and a high output signal of max 12 dBm makes it possible to use it with high qualified equipments.
  • These specifications in combination with a very low self consumption, you are able to work with a 48 Volt phantom powered microphone almost 16 hours using a 9 Volt alkaline battery.
  • A red LED indicates in time, when the battery is nearly consumed. Of course, also MBF-10 has the possibility to connect a stabilized power supply adaptor for example Prefer EPS-12.

Prefer MB-22

This professional booster makes it possible to amplify two balanced microphone signals to two balanced line signals.

  • With the MB-22 its possible to work with two microphones, but you can also work in a stereo position.
  • The gain of the MB-22 is switchable between 20 db and 40 dB, so you can use many kinds of microphones.
  • With a low noise of +117 dB, a low distortion of 0,01% and the dynamic range of 129dB, you can be assured of a high quality sound signal.
  • The MB-22 is also provided with a low cut switch, to filter disturbing signals in the sub-low, below 80 Hz. Of course, it is also possible with the MB-22 (like MB-11) to reserve unbalanced microphones signals over a long distance to balanced line-signals.
  • The extremely low output-impedance of 1W makes it possible to use nearly any kind of line-input.
  • The power supply of the MB-22 can be provided with a 9 Volt battery or an external power-adaptor, which has to operate between 9 and 24 Volt D.C., for example the Prefer EPS-12.
